WD Lab Grown Diamonds has an immediate opening on our Sales Team for an Account Executive in the New York Metro area (REMOTE). 
 
Founded in 2008, WD Lab Grown Diamonds is a pioneering technology company and global leader in high-quality laboratory created diamonds and solutions in Advanced Materials. Specializing in 'As Grown' and untreated diamonds of the highest quality, WD's history is rooted in innovation, disruption, and a deep commitment to sustainability.   
 
The Account Executive role is central to the organization with focus on delivering high-quality customer support and satisfaction. Through extensive product knowledge and understanding of industry trends, the Account Executive will communicate directly with existing customers and prospects, understand their individual needs, and recommend products and/or programs that maximize value. Account Executive will assist in developing sales strategies, product forecasting and analyzing sales demand.
 
The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator and demonstrate high integrity, accountability, resiliency, teamwork, and have a solution-based attitude.  Must be able to effectively work both independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
 
Specific Job Duties:
  • Manage relationship with clients, handling client inquiries, fulfilling, and processing of orders, and resolving client concerns
  • Identify and prospect new customers and new market opportunities
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external customers and internal departments to deliver optimal customer experience
  • Attend trade shows and other industry events when requested
  • Maintaining database of customer contact information (CRM)
  • Forecasting and analyzing sales demand
Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
  • Prior diamond/fine jewelry industry experience
  • The drive, hunger and energy to prospect for new business, while maximizing current accounts
  • Must have a sales and strategic mindset
  • Proven work experience in a manufacturing environment, supply chain, sales administration, inside sales, or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong time management skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, etc.)       
 

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred
  • Established book of customers in the jewelry industry, preferably loose gemstone
