What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic position at We Energies?
We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking aFleet Mechanic in ourTown of Somers, Wisconsin location.This position is 2nd shift. The hours are 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
The Fleet Mechanic performs the following duties:
- Maintains, repairs, and services vehicles and equipment that are essential to other work groups to ensure that they are safe, functional, and available when needed and in accordance with DOT regulations
- Performing troubleshooting and diagnosing current or potential vehicle and equipment malfunctions
- Temporary or permanent repairs and component rebuilding on trucks, construction, automotive and auxiliary equipment
- Preventative maintenance
Current pay range: $35.26- $47.02/hr; subject to change based on union contract (starting rate will be based on experience level).
- Applicant must have a minimum of two years experience as an automotive or truck mechanic within the past four years.
- Applicant must have a valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving. Selected applicant must obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 90 days of entry into the job.
- Applicant must comply with D.O.T. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) drug and alcohol testing requirements.
