Due to growth, our corporate HQ office in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Senior Accountant. This role will provide management with technical guidance on new transactions; analyze financial statement variances, ensure accounting methodologies comply with contract terms, prepare complex calculations, and continually drive to improve systems and processes.
Primary Job Functions
Prepare account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts. Ensure reconciling items are properly documented, resolved in a timely manner and adjustments are prepared.
Timely calculate and book all monthly revenue accrual entries in accordance with US GAAP.
Prepare fluctuation analysis for revenue and related balance sheet accounts, identify trends, and ascertain reasonableness according to business activities.
Collaborate with business partners, billing team and FP&A to effectively understand and support business strategies and trends.
Understand transactional workflow, be knowledgeable about the source of data and ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with Operations to develop a predictive revenue trending and analysis.
Assist in onboarding and transition of acquired teams.
Ensure compliance with all company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Lead initiatives to implement system and process enhancements as well as identify automation opportunities.
Prepare audit and tax schedules for independent auditors including the support documentation.
Develop and maintain process documentation on a periodic basis.
Other accounting duties as requested and/or assigned.
Education | Qualifications
BS/BA in Accounting or related area of study.
3-5 years of general accounting experience.
CPA preferred but not required.
PC skills – emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
Inter-personal and communication skills working with people at all levels.
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the tasks assigned.\
Attention to detail, accuracy and diligence in completing tasks.
