Responsibilities
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for facilitating an efficient sourcing process by building relationships with suppliers, negotiating cost and developing agreements for the Goods and Services required at multiple locations within the Geozone and/or the Region, this involve using established sourcing methodology, electronic platforms and tools. The role will report to the Geozone/Region Sourcing Manager, liaise with the network Category Managers to develop sourcing strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
- Maintains safety and service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business
- Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with Company policies and procedures, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices
- Ensures to effectively use the appropriate procurement contract templates in accordance with Global Supply Chain Legal requirements
OPERATIONAL CAPABILTY
- Ensures to develop and implement the sourcing plan, working closely with Operations and Category Management to refine the sourcing strategy and plans for the Geozone and/or Region for the upcoming year
- Assesses sourcing and category opportunities, analysing spend data from multiple sources, structured analysis of supplier/category industry to identify trends, purchasing patterns, competitive position, market conditions and expiring contracts to indicate ways to improve the pricing, quality, service and technology
- Ensures to execute sourcing events (RFX’s), negotiates hard savings and/or benefits to lower the overall cost to the organization
- Ensures accurate and up to date contracts and supplier records are maintained
- Ensures to award contract and agreements to suppliers that comply with company requirements
- Tracks performance aspects of contracts and supplier development that includes contract inventory, segmentation, risk assessments, contingency planning and validation of right pricing
- Ensures safe and efficient utilization of company systems, tools and spreadsheets/reports
- Creates strategic alliances with suppliers to develop and maintain long-term supply partnerships
- Works with all relevant parties in the consolidation and rationalization of Supplier base
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective level of communication with a broad range of stakeholders in order to plan and prioritize sourcing initiatives to support business requirements
- Communicate timely, clear and concise the impact of sourcing decisions to stakeholders, leading meetings with suppliers for the resolution or mitigation of key/critical issues to ensure alignment with project expectations
- Maintain contact and network with supplier community
FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
- Identifies opportunities and implements actions to continually reduce cost of supply, meet demand requirements and to generate savings and benefits to the business
- Interfaces with Procurement personnel to ensure the entire contract and agreement is fully implemented and seamlessly at the local level
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
- Undertakes necessary Procurement and Sourcing training to enhance process excellence and the ability to improve overall performance
- Responsible for completing all company designated training and competency programs assigned to the position
- Participates in the performance management program and conversations
VISION & LEADERSHIP
- Identify process problems and concerns and make recommendations for innovative solutions and corrective actions to achieve desirable results, help the company better manage cost on supplies and supplier services.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
REQUIRED:
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing or 5 years related experience in supply chain functions
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a sourcing and procurement related positions
- Ability to interact in English and potentially other language relevant in local area
- Intermediate Excel user and proficient in MS Office suite
- Legally authorized to work
PREFFERED:
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Sourcing Certificate
- 2 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement of Complex Machined components and/or Complex machining services
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Familiarity with Procurement and Sourcing principles and techniques:
- Procure-to-Pay full cycle, e-catalogs, e-ordering and e-invoicing
- Strategic Sourcing methodology and tools
- Analysins data regarding the cost and availability of materials and services that are needed to complete projects
- Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of commodity industry
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, including cost models
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Comprehend the industry and the marketplace
- Solid understanding of fundamental contracting and agreements principles with the ability to create contracts using Company templates
- Display impeccable time-management, detail oriented and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task with proven record of meeting deadlines
- Must be flexible with the ability to work in a constantly changing environment and quickly adapt to operational requirements
