WebMD is looking for a creative Graphic Designer/Photo Editor to join the digital media team of the number one, most trusted digital health and wellness brand. The Graphic Designer/Photo Editor will produce engaging, shareable visual content for a variety of formats for promotion across various digital outlets.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to produce compelling page view drivers such as topical infographics, motion graphics (including cinemagraphs) and more.
- Understand the WebMD brand and strive to clearly define and advance our brand presence on all digital platforms
- Leverage the unique capabilities and characteristics of each platform, identifying best practices for maximizing engagement through arresting, highly original visuals
- Publish assets to content management system (CMS)
Required Experience:
- Experience working in a creative and/or production environment such as news, publishing, advertising, design, marketing, or major lifestyle brand
- Experience taking ideas from initial concept to final, polished execution of translating raw data into engaging, user-friendly graphics
- Experience creating content for digital media, and incorporating it into stories (tweets, Instagram images)
- Deep knowledge of for digital media
- Experience working in a CMS
- Attention to detail. Must be consistent and accurate with data entry to ensure images appear correctly on all platforms
Skills
- 3+ years working with all digital platforms, including social media
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, necessary to create both photographic imagery and vector art
- Knowledge of AfterEffects and/or other programs needed to create motion graphics
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong aesthetic sense and awareness of visual trends
- Excellent visual storytelling skill with talent for identifying clear, meaningful visual cues across multimedia elements
- Skilled at brainstorming and collaborating with a larger creative team
- Ability to incorporate feedback and act on it quickly
- Positive, can-do attitude under pressure and excellent interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic about health and wellness content; curious about learning more
- Ability to turn on a dime when opportunities emerge
- Excellent time management skills; ease with working on multiple projects at once
- Resourceful and solutions-oriented, especially under pressure
- Ability to meet daily deadlines, and work independently at a fast pace
- Bachelor’s Degree
