Position Overview
This role reports to the Controller and is responsible for managing the billing for government contracts, assisting with various financial items such as financial statements, the general ledger, balance sheets, and special projects as needed.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and expedite billing for government contracts including reading and interpreting contracts for relevant billing information in order to create accurate and timely invoices
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Assist in managing the general ledger
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Work on special projects and additional duties as assigned
- Minimum of three (3) years of billing, accounting, procurement or related experience in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and analytical problem solving
- Sound and consistent business judgment, a good grasp of Company priorities and a sense of urgency
- High level of enthusiasm, with a keen customer focus and the ability to remain flexible to meet internal and external needs
- Ability to work on-site in Haysville, KS
- Experience with government billing/contracting
- Experience using Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)
