Cost Analyst

Full Time Direct Hire in Grand Prairie, TX

Up to 130k Starting Salary!

7-10 years’ experience required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Performs analysis on Job Project Costing comparing the estimate to actual costs with analysis on profitability and/or shortfalls in estimated vs. actual cost. Provide analytic support across multiple functions in the finance department including corporate finance, panning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Work with Operations and Sales team to develop annual revenue plan, operating budgets, and cash flow plans to be adjusted and reviewed monthly with management
• Create margin analysis on cost of goods sold and recommend cost savings to improve margins. Report findings back to business partners and leadership team
• Training of personal on transaction processing to allow for job product costing
• Work with production and estimation to improve estimates or analyze production issues causing variances
• Supervise the Job Project Cost Accountant
• Calculate and review monthly operational metrics with plant management to support the operational goals and cost management of the business
• Lead monthly review on project inventory analysis for goods produced for customer orders and provide days on inventory analysis
• Reviewing the financial states to check for anomalies and researching the causes
• Reconcile GL accrual accounts in relation to freight and prepaid accruals.
• Review and manage Plant Overhead Rates
• Review Bill of Materials costing to insure accurately reflect production operations
• Provide support for transactions and BOM and routings for the auditors
• Provide support and analysis for the Physical Inventories
• Provides ad hoc reporting to support financial analysis for operations
• Review and investigate company's accounting transactions to improve and ensure data accuracy
• Support division operational plant locations in areas of production, inventory, costing and continuous improvement of IFS to support company financial reporting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $130,000.00 per year
