Our Equity Sales Trading group is seeking an experienced and highly successful Sales Trader. The position is responsible for the management and execution of client equity trades with a focus on delivering a high level of service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Seek liquidity through marketing order flow to buy side client base and internal sales traders- Provide current information flow on what is moving stocks within sector
- Generate investment ideas through daily/weekly notes, as well as Bloomberg client chats
- Assist in back-office responsibilities ranging from booking trades/correcting breaks
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University required, preferably in Business or Finance, or other related fields- 5-7 years of successful sell-side experience as an Equity Sales Trader
- Active Series 7, 63 and 55 licenses
- Advanced financial literacy with ability to analyze financial reports and communicate analysis to clients
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of industry terminology and communication
- Ability to manage risk positions and assess market liquidity
- Must have existing roster of robust buy-side clients/traders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make quick decisions that are time sensitive
