The Investment Banking & Capital Markets Division at Wedbush is seeking an experienced Managing Director to take on a key leadership role to expand Municipal Finance underwritings and advisory assignments. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a track record of revenue generation and client testimonials.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Initiate new client relationships and expand the Wedbush franchise, particularly in California and Western US
- Engage in marketing activities with existing and new potential clients and manage transaction pipeline
- Oversee all aspects of transaction life cycle: client sourcing, marketing, due diligence, negotiation, documentation and closing
- Develop strong internal relations with various departments to maximize firm-wide success and profitability
- Maintain professional image of the company
- Mentor, lead, and develop team members
- Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degrees/credentials desirable- 10 years of experience with Municipal Bonds sector at a nationally recognized investment banking firm (including significant origination and execution experience with both public financing and advisory transactions)
- FINRA Series 53 required
- Proven track record with increasing responsibilities of lead generation
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with an ability to bring in new clients
- Self-driven with ability to work independently
