What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Tech/CT Tech position at Weeks Medical Center - IMAGING?
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the radiologists and the supervision of the Director of Radiology, operates a Computerized Tomographic scanner to image the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities.
Essential Requirements: Must be a graduate of an American Medical Association-approved school of radiologic technology and be registered in at least radiography. Additional certification in computed tomography is preferred. Training and/or experience specific to radiology practices regarding neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients are required and must be willing to cross-train in additional imaging modalities. Proven ability to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, practitioners, and visitors, willingness to work in a team-oriented environment, ability to work independently, and effective communication skills are required. Familiarity with computer applications is required, Meditech Health Information System is preferred, and must have technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications.
