What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Financial Services Supervisor position at Weirton Medical Center?
The Patient Financial Services Manager ensures maximum cash flow and protects Weirton Medical Center from fiscal losses by development of process and sound application of technology within the revenue cycle functions of Claims submission, Third Party Follow up, Financial Counseling, Collections, Cash Posting and Cashiering. Interacts with industry-wide peers, state, federal, and local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with reimbursement requirements and statutes.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY
Associates degree or minimum of at least 7 years of experience in the Patient Financial Service area required.
Patient Accounting knowledge and experience; PC literate with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated ability to develop a climate that values the contribution of staff and motivates employees to work as a team to achieve results. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to understand, evaluate and implement technology to improve operations.
Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid programs, managed care and third party billing as well as fair credit collection practices. Well-developed human relations and communication skills, able to communicate to executive team, physicians and leadership.
