PARALEGAL
Provides high level administrative support to the General Counsel, facilitates completion of contracts (e.g., correspondence, contracts, etc.) and assists with government agency investigations and the associated production of documents. Assists with the preparation of meetings, including drafting minutes and distribution of materials. Creates, updates, and maintains legal forms, documents, reports, systems, policies and procedures, and spreadsheets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide support to the Legal Department and outside counsel on legal matters involving internal and external investigations and litigation.
- Maintain the corporate contract database.
- Respond to subpoenas and other requests for company records.
- Create reports, project manage team tasks, and collaborate on and drive team process improvements.
- Assist with government agency complaints and investigations.
- Prepare and file organizational documents such as Certificates and Articles of Organization, maintain corporate record books and prepare minutes of meetings.
- Assist with corporate transactions such as acquisitions and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development filings and applications.
- Provide general administrative functions as required, including document filing, organization, and recordkeeping.
- Other duties as necessary and assigned.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university; paralegal degree or certificate preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of paralegal experience, preferably at least 2 years’ experience in a law firm environment.
