The Manufacturing Engineer at Weldall plays a crucial role in developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods. They utilize their expertise in product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment to ensure quality control standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and validate new manufacturing processes and techniques
- Develop, evaluate, improve, and document manufacturing processes, with emphasis on standardized work
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, and shop orders
- Provide engineering support to production departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Collaborate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange equipment, parts, or material purchases
- Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for management decisions
- Analyze manufacturing process flows to enhance quality and identify cost reduction opportunities
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and document through manufacturing standards
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, new products, and tooling in line with zero-defect and cost-efficiency goals
- Complete any special projects as assigned by supervisor/manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to top management, internal and external customers in a professional manner
- Knowledge of CAD/SigmaNest, blueprint reading (GD&T a plus), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor knowledge a plus) and Solidworks experience
- Understanding of quality management systems
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
