THE ROLE
The human resources business partner will act as strategic support for the Sales and Education functions throughout the US.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partners with function leaders to understand business objectives and identify corresponding human resource needs; implements human resources strategy to support business objectives
- Partners with function leaders and other key functions to develop programs that support employee retention
- Helps drive division-wide human resources strategy, programs, and processes within teams
- Partners with global and local capability to identify training needs and provide input on training approaches and content
- Leads onboarding program for new hires, including new hire orientation, welcome programs and events, to create a best in class onboarding experience
- Develop and facilitate learning programs linked to skills/competencies valued in the function (coaching, time management, leadership, etc)
- Consistent communication on open headcount, talent acquisition and candidate management with Sr. HR Manager and Talent Acquisition team
- Serves as the primary employee relations manager to mediate and resolve employee disputes and grievances and escalate to leadership and compliance as needed
- Provides policy interpretation and ensures accurate and consistent application of all company policies and procedures, and related local, state and federal laws, and applicable agreements
- Champion & advocate for employees for cultural enrichment
- Partners with other HRBPs and HR VP on strategic objectives
- Analyzes and provides recommendations for change and improvements where needed
- Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Bachelor degree in Business or related field from four year college or university required
- 5 years’ experience of progressively strategic HR experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in organization effectiveness and staff relations.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, adapt to changing demands and have an interest in understanding the business.
- Strong project management skills.
- Previous background in training preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment law
