Job Summary
WELLBE INTRODUCTION
The WellBe care model is a Physician Led Advanced Practice clinician driven geriatric care (care of older adults) team focused on the care of the frail, poly-chronic, elderly Medicare Advantage patients. This population is typically underserved and very challenged with access to care. To address these problems, we have elected to bring the care to the patient, instead of trying to bring the patient to the care. Care is provided throughout the entire continuum of care – from chronic care and urgent care in the home, to hospital, to skilled nursing facility, to assisted living, to palliative care, to end of life care. WellBe's physician/advanced practicing clinician led geriatric care teams’ partner with the patient’s primary care physician to provide concierge level geriatric medical care and social support in the home as well as delivering and coordinating across the entire care continuum.
GENERAL SUMMARY
This is a unique role at an innovative, fast-growing, private equity backed healthcare company. The Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy. This may include forecasting future revenues and expenditures, as well as modeling capital structure and budgeting. Financial analysts are also often responsible for keeping track of a company's financial plan.
Job Description
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Ongoing business/investment decision support through pro-forma creation, ROI analysis, sensitivity analysis, valuation, etc.
- Ongoing reporting and analyzing financial data of monthly results (financial performance, variance to expectations, trending, KPIs, etc), as well as creation of monthly results packages for executive leadership, board of directors, and operational teams, with a focus on providing relevant insights that drive business decisions.
- Support of all relevant planning cycles (long-range planning, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, re-forecasts, etc.), including process development, establishment of timelines, identification of key stakeholders and ownership of cross-functional partnerships to establish assumptions and create operational buy-in.
- Cash flow forecasting
- Building and maintaining a “due diligence ready” set of financial reports.
- Partner with operational leads and leverage financial expertise to drive strategic decisions and provide actionable recommendations to business partners.
- Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
- Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
- Take on additional responsibilities as the business continues to grow.
- Other tasks needed to accomplish team’s objectives/goals.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational/ Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field required.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a highly analytical, fast-paced environment
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skill sets
- Ability to take direction and push analyses/processes to the next step independently.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft suite (Excel and Powerpoint)
- Aptitude for critical thinking and intellectual curiosity
- Focus on developing scalable and repeatable processes and analyses.
- Comfort with large data sets and ability to transform data into information and recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain financial data/information to a non-financial audience.
- Healthcare experience is required; value-based care or Medicare familiarity is a plus.
- Experience with SQL, Alteryx, VBA, Python, and/or other financial analytical tools is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibility.
Travel requirements: Travel may be required up to 30% locally or nationally.
Work Conditions: Ability to lift to 20lbs. Moving lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to 50lbs as well as assist with weights of more than 100lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to drive to patient locations (ie. home, hospital, SNF, etc). Fine motor skills/Visual acuity
