How you make a difference
The Director of CQI and Care Advancement will be responsible for overseeing the continuous quality improvement and NCQA/WRAP activities and initiatives for Wellpath in collaboration with compliance, risk management, and the patient safety organization. They will provide education and execution of CQI activities and oversee the implementation and management of quality improvement plans, processes, and overall program operations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement in patient care and enhancing the overall quality of services provided by Wellpath.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program in collaboration with the patient safety organization and risk management leadership.
- Develop and implement CQI initiatives, manage improvement plans and oversee the Peer Review process for the enterprise.
- Drive the Improvement Plan program, maintain NCQA/WRAP accreditation initiatives, and participate in regulatory accreditation and inspection processes.
- Assess staff educational needs and collaborate in the development, delivery, and evaluation of educational programs or tools.
- Manage the CQI budget, communicate findings of Quality activities, serve as a consultant on quality issues, and ensure alignment between Risk Management and CQI systems and processes across the enterprise.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Baccalaureate degree or higher in healthcare administration, management, business administration, healthcare project management, or clinical field
Experience
- At least five (5) years progressive leadership in quality/performance improvement.
- Clinical experience in correctional healthcare, behavioral health, forensic care or related field is preferred.
- May consider other combinations of experience if appropriate
Licenses/Certifications
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) designation preferred.
