Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing group is responsible for establishing and maintaining a consolidated Enterprise Testing program at the corporate level. Enterprise Testing is responsible for developing a common methodology and standards, providing governance and oversight, executing testing; and conducting horizontal reviews. Testing and validation teams are responsible for implementing the Enterprise Testing methodology and standards, and executing group- specific testing.

his position will be on a team providing a centralized analytic function for the Enterprise Testing and Validation team supporting Consumer Banking, Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation (PVSI), Wealth Investment Management (WIM) and Enterprise Functions (EF). We have a need for a team member to act as a liaison between the data teams and the testing leaders. You would be responsible for the relationship with one or many senior testing managers or areas.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Engaging in the planning and execution of control activity review
• Help in determining the complete, independent, and accurate population set
• Help in determining the test approach (automated, transaction, or non-transaction) to be applied for each population
• Champion the use of data driven testing and use whenever possible
• Determining whether or not the criteria can be automated enough to produce reliable results (for example, minimal false positives in the data)
• Reviewing to ensure business rules and process logic match requirements
• Reviewing for fluctuation or deviation from historical results to identify potential data issues
• Develop data strategy with testing partners for specific tests
• Directs lower AC levels on testing strategy and how data should be pulled
• Utilize SAS and/or SQL
• Source data from multiple systems of record
• Provide clear documentation of code
• Effectively communicate to develop relationships with and collaborate with others to clarify and develop requirements
• Produce independent populations/samples for high priority or complex control activity reviews

• 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• 4+ years working experience within SQL or SAS
• Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
• Experience gathering requirements from non-technical partners and translating  them into code to extract data from systems of record
• Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferably related regulatory compliance requirements
• Experience using advanced data mining techniques to produce targeted populations from multiple large data sets
• Experience working with multiple data sources and large data sets
• Experience providing “credible challenge” to business partners when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence
• Track record of delivering significant analytic value in a line of business or function
• Broad familiarity with Wells Fargo data and platforms
• Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
