About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Buyer who will serve as the category lead for end user computing equipment, which includes working closely with preferred suppliers for Procure to Pay lifecycle of end user computing equipment and peripherals. To be successful in this role, the Buyer will utilize our Procure to Pay systems and is expected to complete the execution of purchase orders within service level agreements and in compliance with processes and departmental procedures. This buyer will play an important role in the transition of end user computing equipment preferred suppliers from ePro to Ariba and will have responsibility for other daily tasks in Ariba such as SR assignments and catalog maintenance. In addition, this role will support Buy Desk call handling for internal user support.

In this role, you will:
- Oversee complex orders of goods, services and equipment utilizing purchase orders and eProcurement applications
- Monitor and provide feedback for the end user computing category to business stakeholders and third parties
- Implement, track and monitor projects, supplier performance, inventory levels and trend research
- Maintain and facilitate effective partnerships within the lines of business
- Present recommendations, resolve complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of the department
- Identify improvement in order to streamline and automate processes
- Interact with the customer and supplier for products and services
- Act as a central point of communication with the supplier, customer, and the customer service team to ensure order compliance in meeting contractual Service Level Agreements
- Answer calls to the Buy Desk from internal users seeking support with making a purchase on Wells Fargo approved Procurement systems
- 2 years of Procurement experience, Supply Chain experience, or a combination of both, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Procure to Pay lifecycle and purchasing operations experience
- Experience handling internal customer support calls to assist users in navigating Procure to Pay systems
- Experience using data to drive decision making and capacity planning
- Experience conducting process analyses to optimize assignment and structure of work to be completed within service level agreements
- Knowledge of catalog management, contract structure, contract compliance, spend classification and Procure to Pay lifecycle related reporting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Workday for completion of time reporting, absence requests, and completion of performance objectives as directed
- Knowledge of Ariba Buying and Invoicing, Ariba Guided Buying, and Ariba Catalog Management
- Ability to quickly learn medium to complex business operations and processes
- Knowledge and understanding of Procure to Pay related operations policies and procedures, preferably within the financial services industry
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
