As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk — or Independent Risk Management — provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk. Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including: Data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.
As a Loan Adjustor 3, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of complex commercial/real estate/SBA problem loans. Functions include:
- Performing risk evaluations
- Formulating and implementing workout strategies
- Analyzing complex business and personal financial statements and tax returns
- Monitoring credits
- Ensuring loans are structured and priced consistently with Bank policy and commensurate with risk
- Negotiating creative structures to meet needs of both customer and bank while minimizing risk exposure
- Working with in-house and outside counsel during litigation
- May formulate litigation strategy
Required Qualifications
5 years of lending experience, workout experience, or a combination of both; or successful completion of the Wells Fargo Credit Management Training Program
Desired Qualifications
Basic knowledge and understanding of credit policy, accounting practices, and procedures- Basic knowledge and understanding of lending, loan structuring, and financial analysis
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Other Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SBA Lending/Workout processes and procedures
- Basic knowledge and understanding of credit policy, accounting practices, and procedures
- Commercial workout lending, loan structuring, and financial analysis experience
- Strong negotiation and influence skills
- Commercial or consumer loan restructuring and negotiation experience
- Basic knowledge and understanding of lending, loan structuring, and financial analysis
