The Loan Servicing Specialist 5 (LSS5) will be working for the Denver Loan Support Department, and will primarily be responsible for processing a variety of “Research” type requests coming in from the Wells Fargo Line of Businesses (LOBs) via E-Mail, requests will have to be analyzed and resolved.
This position involves acquiring technical knowledge of the Wholesale Loan Servicing processes to adequately answer questions or make adjustments to systems as necessary. Questions may be regarding the booking of loans, interpretation of AFS screens, invoices, sweeps, interest rates, fees, and other aspects of loan servicing. Mainstay of duties may also involve: performing advances from loans (including high-dollar outgoing wires); making payments (including payoffs) to the system utilizing various methods; making adjustments to the loans in the system of record (AFS), such as Assignment Unit changes, Officer changes, address changes, changes to the BQR/CQR, etc.
On a daily basis, the LSS5 will be taking direction from colleagues across the nation and coordinating professionally and consultatively. Good communication skills are a must, as finding solutions may require heavy E-Mail correspondence as well as telephoning. Teamwork is also needed to ensure Department SLAs are met without fail, daily. Department team members maintain a high-level of accuracy. At day-end, each Loan Servicing Specialist compiles a Batch of their day’s work, that they or a backup team member will audit on Day 2, which in turn may also be checked by Quality Assurance. Ancillary duties will be addressing anomalies/outages unearthed by internal reports. Main software’s being used: AFS, COLTS, eTran, WIPS, CEO Wire, StoreVision, ICMP, E-TRAC, and Access.
