Job Description
The Commercial Banking Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will provide to support multiple Divisions Executives within the Specialized Coverage Organization.
The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as advisor to Division Executives and will provide them with relevant financial reporting and analysis. This analyst will provide insights, point out trends, identify emerging issues, and highlight the “story” behind the financial results. They will identify and resolve complex financial or data related problems. The position will also provide input to the business strategic plans and monitor performance against the plans. The analyst will perform ad-hoc analysis, and they may be called upon to lead to project-oriented efforts, requiring strong collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI and Commercial Banking reporting tools such as ProfitView and Essbase
- A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills and self-driven desire to investigate financial issues
- Capable of interpreting and communicating complex financial data to all levels of management in a clear and concise format
- A demonstrated knowledge of the Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Client Coverage Organization, Coverage Models and Specialized Coverage Reporting, Revenue Share, and other reporting tools and concepts
- A demonstrated ability to interact with and provide support to senior leaders and executives
- Strong analytical skills including financial metrics analysis
- Excellent Visual/verbal data summarization and presentation skills
- Knowledge/understanding of report analysis: emphasis on accuracy and telling a story with supporting details
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and work within a team to identify and resolve issues
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, Essbase/SmartView experience
- Experience participating on project teams/workstreams with priority on process improvements
