Corporate Risk CIO organization provides technology to several lines of businesses including Risk and Compliance with a combined technology spending in excess of $200+MM annually and is a 500+ person global organization.
Corporate Risk technology has embarked on an ambitious Risk Transformation program. As part of this we are looking for a Technology Delivery Lead who will partner with key business, risk and WFT leaders to drive all activities, including strategy, planning, and implementation of key deliverables for Calculation Services and Model Risk technology group which focuses on all areas of Model lifecycle management.
This Development Manager - Modeling (Engineering Manager Specialty) will be leading agile engineering teams supporting technology solutions development for a broad portfolio of products within Calculation and Model Risk portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead team supporting various needs of Model Integration and Implementation for model life cycle activities like model development, testing, integration, production runs and model performance monitoring.
- Planning, designing, developing and delivering enterprise systems, handling high volumes of data and computationally intensive workloads.
- Partner with senior product leaders, lead systems architects, and engineering managers to develop product functional and technical strategies.
- Provide expertise and thought leadership in the portfolio domain and leverage external perspectives, trends, and research to inform development of actionable strategies and plans.
- Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to LOB strategic priorities.
- Mentor and guide the development of engineering managers and senior engineering leads.
- Support financial forecast and budget development.
- Collaborate within and across agile teams and organizations to design, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and methodologies.
- Support implementation of projects and features for a product portfolio within a LOB. Projects may have enterprise-wide impact.
- Provides technology risk oversight for product and application portfolio.
Technologies used are a suite of state-of-the-art Quants tools which include Python, R, Spark, Scala, H2O etc. This team works closely with the Corporate Model Risk and Risk CoEs to ensure that the corporation meets its regulatory and compliance timelines. This is a great opportunity to make a huge impact to the Corporate Risk organization as various transformational projects are implemented.
