WellStar is looking to add a Supervisor, Cancer Screening Program to its team!!
The Lung Cancer Screening Program supervisor is a key member of the cancer screening & prevention team. This role is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and administrative oversight for the nurse navigators and support team. Will also help grow the lung screening program and support WellStar Health System’s strategic goals and objectives; assure that budgetary parameters are maintained and that the program aligns with service line potential and service expectations. Works collaboratively with key physician stakeholders, system leaders, internal departments and community partnering organizations to enhance relationships, build trust, and develop strategies to increase cancer screening rates and educational awareness at each WellStar hospital/system location. Prepares and delivers screening in-service to physician practices and community groups as needed.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or healthcare related field.
Required Minimum Experience:
- At least 5 years of clinical program experience with pulmonary and/or thoracic expertise.
- At least 3 years in an administrative, leadership or business development role. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Required Minimum Skills:
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills both orally and written.
- Should be highly intelligent, motivated with sense of urgency, professional, and polished. Must have the ability to inspire trust
and credibility among senior leaders, physicians, and physician staff. - Must have the ability to critically think, possess exceptional interpersonal skills and business savvy. Demonstrated ability as an individual contributor, while exceling as a team player and good at mobilization of people.
- Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of sales and health care business environment a plus. Must be organized and attentive to detail.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple high priority tasks.
- Must be able to operate a car and travel to all physician practices, facilities and hospitals when needed. 10% of work hours require
travel. - Must possess good territory and time management skills.
- Must be able to work independently and use good judgment according to established policy.
- Ability to analyze opportunities and threats, design strategies to grow program, communicate effectively and build relationships.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment.
Required Minimum License/Certification: Position requires a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
