Overview
The Marketing Coordinator supports operations by developing and maintaining all electronic and printed marketing efforts. This includes but is not limited to the Dining Services events, website, social media outlets, hard copy, press releases, and trade magazine publications.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Works alongside the dining services management team to develop, promote and manage all marketing events and promotions.
- Embraces the Creative Dining core values & mission in all communications.
- Supports marketing efforts of dining services.
- Perform administrative tasks related to social media and on-campus communication, such as website management, promotions, and photography.
- Prepare and complete all CDS-sponsored or required special event reports such as national nutrition month and other corporate promotions.
- Develops event stories and photographs for submission to trade magazines for possible recognition opportunities.
- Maintains confidentiality in all employee interactions.
- Performs accurate record keeping of all work-related expenses, i.e., Photographers, Videographers, online subscriptions, etc.
- Follows, researches, and informs the management team of current marketing & social media trends.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
The position involves working in an office environment with the responsibility to operate standard office equipment and technology. May require extended working hours at times.

Education – Skills - Expectations
- High School Degree, Higher Education helpful
- Associate degree in marketing, Media Technology, or Graphic Design
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Social Media Outlets & Web Development with a proven track record.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Experience performing administrative responsibilities preferred.
Must possess a positive, can-do attitude, be detail-oriented, and possess a well-rounded knowledge of the food service industry. Must always maintain professionalism, and work with others in a cooperative manner, even while working under pressure. Willing to engage actively in the physical work of a high-quality hospitality service operation.
