The Role: An Engineering Team Lead supervises and manages a team of Engineers to design and release Wenger manufactured equipment. This job requires developing leadership skills, strong written and oral communication skills, along with growing interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively Supervise Engineering team to convert Sales order input to released designs.
- Lead large projects and delegate tasks to team members.
- Manage resources to ensure work is completed timely and accurately.
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and mature team members.
- Assist the Manager to develop the project design schedule
- Partner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Sales to negotiate project release dates.
- Manage changes to Design Catalog option codes.
- Approve drawings.
- Lead design review efforts.
- Work with other Engineering teams to ensure Wenger business success.
- Trains others on the interaction of the process and the equipment.
- Complete performance reviews
- Assist your Manager with developing group budgets.
- Maintain team headcount and budget.
- Lead Engineering tasks for the Cost Quoting Process.
- Demonstrate Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Design products for customer applications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years related experience.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- Keep proprietary and company information confidential in compliance with employee agreement.
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language.
