Position Description
Weris, an Inc. 5000 awarded consulting and government-contracting firm, is looking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing company. This position will support several core areas in HR including Talent Acquisition, Benefits Administration, Payroll Processing, Employee Engagement Activities, and administrative support.
Successful candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment, and effectively communicate and work well with others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following below, and include other duties as assigned.
Recruitment and Retention:
- Work with Talent Acquisition Manager and Hiring Manager to develop and edit job descriptions
- Create and edit job postings for internal Careers page and job boards
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Review incoming resumes and escalate to Talent Acquisition Manager
- Assist in social media strategy and develop recruiting posts
- Schedule and occasionally conduct initial phone screens; schedule follow-up interview with Hiring Managers
- Contact professional references and perform background checks on applicants
- Identify and support recruitment events, such as job fairs
- Assist with new hire onboarding
- Support performance management procedures
- Assist in coordination of training sessions
- Responds to employment verifications
Time Reporting and Payroll Processing Support:
- Ensure employee timesheets are recorded accurately per company guidelines
- Assist with employee questions concerning time reporting, paychecks, and PTO balances
- Liaison between Accounting and Payroll
- Process employee expense reports
Benefits Coordination:
- Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefit enrollment process
- Maintain employee benefit systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately for payroll deduction
- Ensure all benefit-required notices are distributed
- Track and monitor benefit-related invoices on a monthly basis
Corporate Administrative Support:
- Participates in developing operational goals and objectives for the HR function
- Develops and provides guidance on corporate communications
- Assists with operational and IT-related projects that support corporate functions
- Reviews and tracks employee compliance with mandatory trainings
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field
- At least 1-2 years of prior experience in recruiting or human resources
- Excellent communication skills
- Core knowledge of HR policies and best practices
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of HR and recruiting tools, such as ATS and HRIS
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
