About the position:
We’re looking for a PC Technician to support the IT Help Desk by investigating and resolving complex computer software and hardware issues for Raymond's internal PC users. You will:
- Provides technical support by applying knowledge of computer software, hardware and procedures to staff in person or via call center.
- Provides escalation support to other IT members.
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to others.
- Responds, troubleshoots and resolves complex issues in a timely manner.
- Completes a detailed description of each resolution in ticketing system to reference when similar problems arise.
- Performs software and hardware upgrades.
- Configures new equipment with the requested software.
- Provides guidance to end-users on network/systems capabilities.
- Tests, monitors and repairs equipment. Provides input on new equipment requirements.
- Maintains contact with outside organizations regarding the maintenance and service of equipment.
- Maintains inventory.
- Remains current with industry standards through internal and external training programs.
- Collaborates with Service Desk to create support documents and improve service levels.
- Provides project support for IT organization.
About the schedule:
This position is 1st shift and will work 8AM – 5PM with a weekend/evening call rotation.
About you:
- Three months of related experience is preferred.

- Applies a fundamental knowledge of subject matter.
- Displays inquisitiveness and openness to learn. Consistently seeks and learns new technology.
- Requires proficient computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with a variety of people and be able to describe technical information to individuals inside and/or outside the Company.
- Good analytical skills are required to diagnose and resolve equipment related issues.
- Broad knowledge of computer and peripheral equipment, network and computer operating systems (e.g. Windows family, Linux, and Mac OS X).
About the total compensation package:
Salary - Salaries starting at $19 per hour
