The Housekeeping Aide performs common, day-to-day housekeeping and laundry activities to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable setting for residents. Housekeeping activities such as sanitizing, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, laundry pick-up/delivery, laundry services, making beds, emptying waste baskets, and preventative maintenance occur within a retirement community. Housekeeping Aides may work in one or more subareas such as skilled nursing, memory care, catered living, assisted living, or independent living.
What you'll do
- Sanitize, clean, vacuum and maintain all public and residential living areas.
- Make beds, empty waste baskets, and dust.
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold and deliver laundry.
- Inventory and maintain supplies, storage area, and equipment in a secure, safe, and organized manner.
- Assist in preparing residential units for new occupants.
