ER Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Posting for ER Registered Nurse (RN) at Wesley Medical Staffing, Inc.
LOCATION: Shiprock, New Mexico
ASSIGNMENT DATES: ASAP for 6 months. Additional 6 month extension possible.
WORK SHIFT: The shifts are 12 hour rotational (day or night) including weekends and Government Holidays.
Work Flexibility. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Nursing Supervisor to rotate into other duty sections as needed to support patient care.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
- ANY State License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) Certification
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitor Certification
- STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Labs, and Emotional Support)
- Health Requirements (Medical Evaluation/ Immunization)
EXPERIENCE:
- The RN must have a minimum of 3 years of independent ER trauma clinical experience, including 5 level triage.
- Requires BLS, ACLS, PALS and Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) certifications.
- Needs to have a strong working knowledge of Emergency Nursing, caring for critically ill, ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
- Needs to be able to titrate vasopressors, sedation, paralytics and assisting with bedside procedures.
SKILLS:
- Trauma/Cardiovascular patients
- Anatomy & Physiology of all age groups: neonates to geriatrics
- Triage & assess all ages and presentations of symptoms appropriately using 5 level triage algorithm
- Proficient in IV cannulation of all age groups
EQUIPMENT SKILLS:
- Nihon Khoden monitors
- Alaris IVAC pumps
- Level 1 Rapid Infuser
