We are currently looking for a full-time licensed Hairstylist/Cosmetologist to work within our Senior Living Communities at The Wesleyan. A current Texas Cosmetology license along with a flair and passion for ensuring residents within a senior living and skilled nursing environment look beautiful and handsome donning the appropriate hairstyles and salon services you provide them will be essential to your success as a Hairstylist at The Wesleyan.

*** This is an hourly, non-commission, non-tip position with a scheduled shift of 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday ***
Essential Job Functions:
- Make appointments as requested by residents and residents’ family members.
- Provide salon services including shampooing, cutting, hair styling, hair treatments, permanents and hair coloring.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming salon environment in accordance with State licensure requirements.
- Complete other salon services and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A current Texas License issued by the Texas Cosmetology Commission.
- Must have a minimum of one-year of experience as a licensed hairstylist, preferably within a senior living environment.
- Experience working with a variety of hair lengths, types, and textures.
- Proven experience applying hair coloring, perming, and back combing techniques is required.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Proficiency with various computer applications including a point of sale system.
- A service-minded approach to all aspects of the job are required.
- A passion for working within a senior living, assisted living, and or skilled nursing community preferred.
