What are the responsibilities and job description for the Energy Assistance Specialist - Seasonal position at West CAP?
West CAP–an innovative, progressive organization dedicated to creating Strong, Secure Families, and Stable Communities since 1965, is hiring a full-time Seasonal Energy Assistance Specialist. This position is responsible for determining eligibility, customer intake and processing Energy Assistance services to the public. Provide a high level of customer service care to all applicants during the heating season.
The role may be based out of our Glenwood City or Menomonie locations with regular remote work options after a training period.

- Minimum of a high school degree and 2 years administrative experience or associate degree in related area and at least 1 year of related experience.
- Ability to perform data entry concurrently with interactive interviews.
- Ability to effectively use computer systems and proficient with Office 365
- Ability to use and interpret complex forms, policies and procedures.
- Ability to organize and prioritize.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, and public.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use independent judgment in regularly non-routine and/or unstable situations.
- Ability to evaluate information and make appropriate referrals.
