1.0 - Assistant Principal - High School Level

Assistant Principals at the high school level are a critical component of the District’s success in fulfilling its mission to inspire students to achieve their personal best.
To perform in this position successfully, the individual must be able to perform the following:
Primary Responsibilities:
The Assistant Principal will observe and supervise staff; recommend and administer the approved master schedule; coordinate and administer local and state assessments; administer the attendance and discipline programs of the school; arrange for all substitute teachers; coordinate the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports; apply student discipline; approve and coordinate the necessary arrangements for all the special use of school facilities; administer programs dealing with pupil progress reports and records; administer the extra-curricular program, follow through with approved budget items; teacher evaluations and carry out other administrative duties as assigned by the Principal or the Superintendent’s designee. Each Assistant Principal will be responsible for a class of students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania principal certification.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of successful teaching experience with demonstrated exemplary results.
- Superior knowledge of and experience with implementing effective instructional and behavioral methods for students.
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Dedication to providing a world-class education to students.
- A passion for educational excellence, data-driven instruction, and a personal commitment to accountability for results.
- Excellent integrity and demonstration of good moral character and initiative.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with colleagues, teachers, support staff, parents, and School Board members, among others.
- Advanced skills in current technology, including the ability to coordinate presentations using various types of multimedia.
Salary: As per the Act 93 Agreement
