RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists doctor with the daily patient flow of the clinic: makes sure patients are roomed in a timely manner reducing waiting times.
- Keeps clinic workflow moving, focusing on productivity and efficiency including ensuring the exam room is set up, supporting provider productivity, reviewing chief complaint with the patient prior to visit with the provider, and calling in medication to the pharmacy.
- Performs nursing tasks, demonstrating Clinical Competency, including but not limited to administering medications, setting up sterile fields, and disinfecting and sterilizing equipment.
- Completes all required documentation in accordance with department standard and in a timely manner.
- Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary care teams and support services including physicians, Medical Assistants, Patient Coordinators, and others.
- Reviews daily clinical and surgical schedules and is able to anticipate appropriately.
- Documents clinical and surgical chart notes.
- Ensures legendary patient care and patient service is provided at all times.
- Follows Policies and Procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Attends department meetings.
- Assists with physician and/or provider’s patient retention.
- Ability to phone triage in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Assist in all aspects of a clinical and surgical environment.
- Sales: Responsible for generating new sales and maintaining the current client base.
- Patient re-activation calls; the goal is 20 calls per day.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Certified Licensed Vocational Nurse
- 2 yrs. of Dermatology/Cosmetic back office medical experience preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory issues pertaining to group practice
