Job Overview:
Dishwashers are responsible for the cleaning and restocking of all dishes, pots, pans, glassware and silverware for West Hills Country Club. In addition, dishwashers are responsible for helping to clean the kitchen at the conclusion of the night and for removing garbage from the facility. All dishwashing staff is expected to be responsive to the needs of the FOH staff and their requests for specific items as need dictates. This applies most directly to glassware when high volume bar business creates a shortage.
Essential Job Functions:
· Dishwashing including pots, pans, glassware and silverware.
· Cleaning the kitchen and taking out the trash. Rinsing Garbage Cans Nightly.
· Sweeping and Mopping the Floors.
· Unloading and Storing Deliveries.
· All other kitchen tasks as skill and time allow. (Dishwashers under 18 are not allowed to take on additional responsibilities in the kitchen).
· Proper personal hygiene
Physical Requirements of the Dishwasher Position:
· Withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or greater for periods of 30 minutes or more.
· Move 50 lbs. distances of up to 100 ft.
· Understand and respond to verbal requests and visual cues in a loud and extremely busy environment.
· Must be able to walk and stand for periods up to 5 hours.
