JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Human Resources Assistant (full time)
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
PURPOSE: To perform a variety of human resource support duties, including benefits coordination, employee records/files, and perform general office support functions and assist other personnel as necessary.
JOB DUTIES:
- All transactional duties related to administering all insurance and retirement benefits
- Insure proper enrollment of employees to the benefit programs and make modifications to coverage as necessary.
- Assist and counsel all employees with regards to benefits
- Reconcile monthly insurance bills
- Manage employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data in appropriate websites and internal database system
- Set up employee personnel files (hard copies)
- Maintain employee files and the HR filing system and insures that all files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures
- Communicate with employees regarding FMLA issues, provide required paperwork and corresponds with medical personnel as necessary and track FMLA leave
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee information
- Establishes and maintains professional working relations with applicants, visitors, callers, business professionals and co-workers
- Assist with recruiting efforts as requested
- Assist with preparation and processing of weekly payroll to insure employees are paid accurately and on time
- Coordinate and works effectively with other departments
- Perform miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned
