Under general supervision, will perform a variety of semiskilled and skilled building trades duties, including but not limited to the following: perform carpentry work such as building, repairing and installing doors, framework, trim, floors, partitions, and finish work; making repairs to drywall and masonry structures, painting, constructing and repairing structural woodwork and equipment; working from prints, drawings or oral instructions. May also be required to prepare areas, erect scaffolding, clean surfaces, mix paints and allied products. May perform repairs to equipment such as replacing motors, belts, seals, bearings and blades. Performs other related work as required. As a condition of employment an inquiry into job-related information may be completed which may include, but is not limited to, criminal records, abuse registry, driving records, employment history, and education and training. Failing to cooperate with this process, providing false and incomplete information, or discovery of disqualifying information may result in denial of or dismissal from employment or denial of transfer irrespective of when discovered.
