What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Westaff?
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Pay Rate: $17 an hour
Location: North Spring Field, VT
Overview:
This position is a heavy data entry role. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately key in information is a must. Ideal candidates for this position will possess at least 1 year working within an accounting environment. Applicants must have knowledge of basic accounting terminology and practices. Individuals applying must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy of all data. Experience with spreadsheets is required.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry into accounting systems
- Review and correction of entered information
- General support in any area necessary to assist with the completion of the weekly check run
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in data entry and data analysis
- Must be detailed oriented and posses multi-taking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel a must
- Strong problem solving and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work within a team as well as independently
- Must have a strong work ethic and be reliable
- Posses strong organization and time management skills
