Description
Position Summary:
The person in this position will be responsible for coordinating all contracted services directed by Pinellas County Drug Court to WestCare GulfCoast-Florida. This will include scheduling assessments and intake appointments, making warm handoffs to the appropriate WestCare entity, following clients through our system of care, and ensuring that the court is receiving all required reporting. This person will coordinate directly with all WestCare programs in Pinellas County
Essential Job Functions:
Assess Treatment and Resource needs of patients and make the appropriate referral
Ensure scheduling of client assessment and intake appointments
Ensure documentation required for court reporting has been completed and submitted, any issues reported to supervisor
Assist patients with establishing or re-establishing support systems within their community.
Act as advocate on behalf of the patient to improve access to needed services.
Assist other WestCare staff as needed in a collaborative manner to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community.
Be a regular WestCare representative in Drug Court Sessions and be available for their needs and questions
Consult with Program Coordinator and Clinical Coordinator before the termination of a consumer from treatment
Facilitates and needed case conferences
Maintains relationships with referring and supporting agencies and represent the agency at various community meetings as requested.
Understands HIPAA, Professional Ethics, Consumer Rights and Confidentiality
Participate in performance improvement activities
Embrace and embody mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
Must be able to coordinate and integrate multiple services, as well as interface and communicate with internal and external providers
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Must be highly Organized and Detailed Oriented
Must be tech savvy, especially with MS Office programs and HER systems
Ability to work collaboratively with others in a manner that is pleasant and professional
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion
Ability to complete work tasks within scheduled work hours.
Excellent verbal skills and written communication skills.
Willing to seek out new work projects and contribute ideas and efforts to the constant improvement of WestCare services.
Knowledge in the understanding of Motivational Interviewing; Motivational Enhancement Therapy; Comprehensive, Continuous Integrated System of Care (CCISC); and Trauma-Informed Care
Understanding and application of federal, state, local and agency confidentiality rules and professional standards of conduct
Understanding of professional ethics, consumer rights, and professional responsibilities
Understanding of issues related to cultural identity, ethnic background, age, developmental level, gender and sexual orientation in prevention, intervention and treatment.
Demonstrates a high degree of dependability.
Maintains a good attendance record.

Education:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, childhood education, education, counseling and/or similar course of study preferred.
