The Western Digital Global Corporate Marketing People Communications team is seeking a graphic designer. The candidate will support our world-class design efforts to support and enhance our People-focused campaigns. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced creative skills, strong production capabilities, team collaboration, and the ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This person will partner with all members of our People Communications team to meet a wide range of deliverables.

This position requires specialized knowledge within a wide range of design skills. You will be included as a partner in all phases of the design process and directly responsible in the development and delivery of final, production-ready files. We are looking for a candidate who will demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with the working knowledge to quickly hit the ground running. Video editing experience is ideal; motion graphics experience is a plus.

• Strong understanding of typography, branding, and design principles
• Basic illustration skills
• BA/BFA degree in Graphic Design or related field strongly preferred
• 2 years creative in-house or agency experience
• Experience working for global consumer brands a plus
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and balance workflow in a fast-paced environment
• Strong photo-editing, retouching, file correction, and optimization techniques with pixel-perfect attention to detail
• Proactive, self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented
• Quick learner with excellent time management and organizational skills
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Proficient in video editing
• Motion graphics experience a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products a plus
• An excellent online portfolio showcasing your design, typographic, and visual composition aesthetic across multiple design challenges

Compensation & Benefits Details

• An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
• The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
• You will also be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan and to receive equity awards under our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs), pursuant to the terms of these programs. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
