Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Western Digital is seeking to hire a skilled Test Engineer to develop software for Test Engineering organization.
  • Your main responsibility is to build new software and maintain existing software.
  • You need to work with our customers to troubleshooting and resolve all issues related to our software.
  • To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life-cycle.
  • Must be a full-stack developer and understand concepts of software engineering well.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree with 3 or more years of related experience is required. A Master’s degree in computer science or related degree with 2 or more years of related experience is required.

Technical Skills Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years of Full-stack web application development work  experience is required
  • Minimum 2 year of work experience with JavaScript, Java Spring framework and MySQL is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of C project experience is required
  • Familiar with SVN, Git and Jenkins is required

PREFERRED:

  • Working experience in  Agile development environment is preferred
  • Working experience with open source projects is preferred
  • Working experience in data storage domain is preferred
  • Working experience in test development for production tester is preferred

Compensation & Benefits Details

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado.  This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will also be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan and to receive equity awards under our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs), pursuant to the terms of these programs.  RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
