THE OPPORTUNITY
WFP Engineered Products is looking to hire a Quality Control Technician for our Calvert Division in Vancouver and Washougal, WA.
What You’ll Do: The Quality Control Technician will collaborate with the Quality Control Lead to support continuous improvement and organizational strategy, drive performance, and enhance product quality. This position will oversee the quality of products in accordance with customer and company specifications.

Work Environment: This role is to be performed in person at our Calvert operations sites in Washougal, WA and/or Vancouver, WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion and ensure adherence to company safety and sustainability processes and procedures;
- Maintain ongoing education of WFP manufacturing process and familiarity of industry standard publications;
- Monitor quality checkpoints of production as to be proactive in spotting potential manufacturing defects;
- Review incoming and outgoing productions materials to ensure all quality expectations are met;
- Ensure continuous, routine, quality testing and evaluate the quality of daily production by collecting and analyzing samples;
- Manage production quality issues, engaging the Quality Control Supervisor for support as needed;
- Focus on corrective actions to guarantee product continues to meet or exceeds industry standard;
- Maintain companywide documentation for the purpose of internal and 3rd party audits.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education And Experience
- 3-5 years of experience of Quality Control in a manufacturing environment or related industry;
- Knowledge of and experience with species, nominal lumber sizes and grading preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies
- High level of integrity and professionalism;
- Demonstrated orientation towards continuous improvement;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Suites;
- Reading and interpreting both Standard and Metric units of measurement;
- Excellent attention to detail in analyzing and sampling products;
- Ability to engage and motivate staff to perform at a higher standard.
