Job Description
Westerns States Bank is a community bank with 10 locations located in Northern Colorado, Southeastern Wyoming and Western Nebraska. We have a career opportunity for an experienced Personal Banking Manager I at our Loveland, Colorado Branch.
The Personal Banking Manager is responsible for the leadership and supervision of the retail staff at the Main Branch. The position is responsible for coordinating retail banking schedules, preparing and reviewing reports, staff training and works with various department employees to ensure the Bank conforms with Bank policies and procedures. The position will perform a variety of daily duties when necessary including but not limited to: processing customer transactions; opening all types of deposit accounts; accepting and posting loan payments; providing exceptional service to customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in achieving Bank profitability in achieving sales and service goals and meets the expectations of the position.
2. Actively recruit, interview and recommend hiring decisions for Bank retail positions; completes employee hire Check-Ins and provides frequent coaching and feedback to the retail staff.
3.Hold weekly sales and service updates for Bank staff to promote products and coaches retail staff in sales and service techniques to achieve desired results.
4. Open accounts as necessary and handle customer service needs to support day to day customer activity to include DDA, SAV, CD, HSA, IRA, etc.
5. Educate staff and maintain acceptable security procedures; maintain a safe working environment and have a clear understanding of security equipment and usage to include alarms and cameras.
6. Coordinate with other departments of the Bank to ensure staff members comply with required training, audit and compliance requirements as directed by Management.
7. Coordinate opening and closing practices for Bank including scheduling retail staff and Saturday work schedules.
8. Other duties as assigned commensurate with the position.
The position requires a High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience comprised of at least 3 years of Banking experience with Teller, New Accounts, Customer Service, Compliance and Supervisory skills. Comfortable with sales, service and referrals with the ability to coach and develop the retail team. Willingness to assist, when necessary, at other Bank locations and able to attend before and after hour meetings or events. Position will require working an occasional Saturday.
