Receptionist/Legal Assistant – Personal Injury Law Firm (Westlake Village)
Busy Westlake Village personal injury law firm seeks a full-time receptionist. This position requires great organization and time management skills. It's a small and very friendly office. The right candidate must work well in a fast-paced, high demand, and jovial atmosphere.
A successful candidate must be prepared to:
- Welcoming clients at reception/front desk;
- Answering, screening and forwarding phone calls in a professional manner;
- Processing mail and faxes and delivery to intended case managers;
- Process outgoing mail & faxes;
- General Administrative Support -- copying, scanning, maintain office records, filing, opening new case files, and taking messages;
- Ordering and replenishing office supplies;
- Prepare conference room for depositions and client meetings;
- Prepare Proof of Service;
- Schedule client phone and in office appointments.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills. Must have ability to meet deadlines and be efficient, detail oriented, flexible, and a self-starter;
- Prior experience as legal receptionist;
- Familiarity with legal terms and legal documents;
- Experience working with copiers, scanners, appointment scheduling
- Attention to detail – the individual demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness, detailed oriented, monitors own work to ensure quality, and open to feedback;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications (Word and Excel);
- Will work on-site at our facility located at Westlake Village (no option to work remote);
This full-time position’s compensation is $21-$23 per hour depending upon experience. Periodic, discretionary performance-based bonuses - By way of example, all of our team members received bonuses that exceeded 20% of their annual earnings last year. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance. Our team receives 17 paid holidays plus 3 weeks of PTO.
