SUMMARY:
- Monitors and operates the PVC production process, including raw material charging, polymerization, blowdown, stripping, drying, and bulk loading of resin; monomer recovery and storage of VCM
.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates equipment for the Manufacture, stripping, separation, drying, and loading of PVC resin within guidelines of the (JWI) Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operates support equipment for the PVC process; including cooling tower, chilled and hot water, demineralizing and reverse osmotic process water, and steam generation.
- Completes appropriate paperwork and inspections for shipment of bulk PVC cars, and unloading of VCM monomer to storage.
- Performs routine data collection and recording as scheduled and responds to correct observed abnormalities.
- Responds to minimize and/or contain leaks or spills of all hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Issues General Work Permits and prepares equipment for maintenance and contractor personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four (4) year college degree
