The Shrink Pack Operator is responsible for setting up and maintaining the shrink pack machine, packaging bundles and sealing bundles of moulding for shipping.
Duties And Responsibilities
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Fill line with moulding after weighed or counted to correct piece.
- Run moulding through shrink-wrap to seal.
- Set up shrink-wrap machine for proper pack size.
- Ensure that the wrap machine and the oven are operating at the correct temperature.
- Maintain correct end and side seal for packages.
- Enter correct data into the computer to print respective label and then reconcile the label with the work order to ensure that it is correct.
- Make sure the pack has the correct label on the end.
- Off-bear bundles of material into proper containers.
- Complete daily production reports and maintain production standards.
- Maintain strap machine.
- Change different sizes of film to ensure that the correct size is being used.
- Perform proper preventive maintenance to machine.
- Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
- Comply with established safety rules.
- Comply with company policy and procedures.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of supervisor and/or lead.
