Data Quality and Compliance Support Specialist

Job Details

• Perform Contract Verification Review (CVR) to ensure appropriate QC analyses have been performed in accordance with the SNL/NM SOW for Analytical Laboratories.
• Monitor data deliverables for compliance with contract and customer requirements.
• Perform electronic data transfer and QC of data entered into the SMO database.
• Work with the customer to develop technical criteria for analytical services and data usability and select analytical methods to meet customer DQO requirements.
• Act as a point of contact between customers and the analytical laboratories.
• Provide technical review of proposals/statements of work (SOW).
• Notify analytical laboratories of any quality assurance, environmental, safety, health, and sample matrix requirements regarding sample handling, preparation, and analysis.
• Resolve problems, issues, non-conformances, and errors for projects regarding analytical data.

• Process and follow-up on any data package corrections.
• Review, verify, and process proformas and invoices from contractors.

Qualifications We Require

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or a relevant science or engineering field and at least 4 years of direct experience in chemical and/or radiological laboratory analysis.
• Knowledge of EPA, DOE, OSHA and NIOSH methods related to environmental and industrial hygiene analysis.
• Familiarity with a broad spectrum of environmental analyses, including wet chemistry, inorganic and organic chemistry, and radiochemistry.
• Experience supporting analytical laboratory administration including data package verification, processing and quality.
• Experience developing quality assurance plans, statements of work, and standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrated computer skills including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire

• Advanced degree in a relevant technical field and 3 years of direct environmental/analytical laboratory experience.
• Experience performing Level IV data validation.

• Operational experience with sample preparation and using chemical and radiological instrumentation.

• Demonstrated knowledge of general laboratory practices and the ability to implement detailed processes and procedures.

• Working knowledge of statistical methods and method validation.

• Experience in electronic information management.
• Experience in developing sampling and analysis plans.
