Job summary:

The Housekeeping and Laundry Department takes care of the general housekeeping of Westwood Country Club and performs both indoor and outdoor housekeeping duties, including laundry. Works in assigned areas and takes direction from the House and Grounds Director and/or the House and Grounds Assistant Manager.

Compensation:

$16.50 per hour PLUS

100% COMPANY PAID premiums for medical-dental-vision-life and long term disability insurance for full- time employee only coverage. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Some responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

• Clean all: restrooms/locker rooms, steam rooms; hot tubs, toilets, sinks/counters, shower stalls, floors, etc.
• Stock/replenish restrooms/locker rooms; paper products, soap, lotion, etc
• Pick up and dispose of trash
• Window / glass / mirror cleaning
• Dust; Polish door hardware; knobs, handles, kick plate and pull handle plates
• Sweep, mop, vacuum
• Gather soiled towels, linens, etc and take to Laundry Room for processing
• Laundry; wash, dry, iron, fold, stock
• Work indoors and outdoors where necessary
• Work in assisting other departments as needed or required; adapt from job to job
• Inside facilities; frequent, regular cleaning as required, (general janitorial), including additional Covid-19 cleaning protocols.

Skills and qualifications:

• Qualified applicants will have at least ONE YEAR of custodial, janitorial or commercial housekeeping experience.
• Must be flexible to shift changes
• Punctual and reliable
• Bilingual a plus ( Spanish)
• Attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in heat and cold for extended periods of time and perform the following duties while maintaining Club standards: standing, walking, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, lifting, holding/carrying, twisting/turning, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift at least forty pounds regularly.
• Must be able to stand and work in a hot, humid and sometimes loud environment.
