Weyerhaeuser's Montana Wood Products has an opportunity for an experienced Reliability Supervisor at our Kalispell complex in Montana. Weyerhaeuser is seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, exceptional work ethic and a desire to continuously strive for operational excellence.

The role of the Reliability Supervisor is to enhance asset reliability performance by leading reliability plan implementations for the site, which includes Plywood and Lumber operations. Play a critical role in connecting plant operations with the maintenance organization, ensuring minimal downtime and failure rates, and optimum maintenance turnaround leading to improved asset utilization. Serves as a key leadership liaison between maintenance, operations, and engineering to improve asset design for reliability and maintainability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all elements of the site reliability plans. Identifying, managing, training, and auditing processes and systems required to attain excellence in site reliability. Successful candidate will have ownership of the lubrication, PdM departments and associated direct reports, as well as the RCA and MOC processes.

The Reliability Supervisor reports directly to the Complex Maintenance Superintendent.

Key Functions:
  • Role model our safety standards and expectations through on-the-job behavior by living our core values of safety, integrity, citizenship, sustainability and inclusion.
  • Actively uses business systems and reliability engineering to analyze the effectiveness of technical solutions and capture knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate and coach process owners on elements of the reliability plan to include Root Cause Analysis (RCA), PM optimization, oil analysis, vibration, infrared thermal imaging, alignment, balancing, and lubrication.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of Standard Maintenance Procedures and Root Cause Analysis triggers.
  • Keeps current with new equipment and technology and updated maintenance methods.
  • Coaches others on process improvement techniques and skills.
  • Actively assesses opportunities to incorporate predictive maintenance techniques and technology into current equipment maintenance strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience and/or degree
  • 3 of more years of experience in Plant Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or Reliability Engineering
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), or equivalent preferred
  • The successful candidate must be a competent practitioner of LEAN process optimization practices and able to use these skills to participate in and lead LEAN continuous improvement projects

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of Access or Oracle, SAP, MS Schedule, MS Project, or other scheduling software
  • Ability to develop and nurture strong relationships
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong decision and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision or in a team environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with reliable maintenance methods
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays when operating conditions require
  • Evident business leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate vision and strategy to various audiences.
  • Understands the theory and application of predictive maintenance technologies such as Infrared Thermography, Ultrasonic Testing, Vibration Analysis and Tribology.
  • Competent practitioner of Root Cause Analysis and utilizes these skills to facilitate investigations of non-conformance events.
  • Previous experience with project management, to include capital projects.
  • Ability to physically perform requirements of working in a 24/7 operating facility, to include ability to work in extreme temperatures and be ambulatory in an industrial environment with catwalks and uneven surfaces.
