This is an individual contributor position. The position defines and delivers complex IT work products at agreed deadlines. The position requires limited supervision and works mostly independently. Typical tasks and work products include: • Design and Develop internal and external web-based applications using J2EE development framework • Design, code, test, document and debug software applications according to WFS standards • Lead other developers in an agile environment • Evaluate and provide technical solutions to complex application development problems Position Requirements: This position is an experienced position. The expected length of relevant prior experience beyond formal education is 8 or more years. The position requires the following technical skills: • J2EE, MVC (Struts), Spring, JDBC, JSP, JSF, relational databases, SQL, XML, Servlets, Web Services and JavaScript required • Ibatis, Oracle ADF, SOA Suite, JDeveloper, Weblogic desired • Full Systems Development Life Cycle projects utilizing the JAVA 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) platform • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, modeling and OAF • Full Systems Development Life Cycle projects utilizing the JAVA 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) platform • Familiarity with Inversion of Control (IoC) and Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) and frameworks, preferable the Spring framework. • Experience with version control systems, preferable CVS. • Knowledge of Functional or Automated Testing methods/tools like JUnit and JMeter. Other knowledge or expertise required: • BS in Computer Science or related discipline • 8 years of hands on experience • Strong problem solving and decision making skills • Strong communication skills • Some knowledge of ADF is a plus • The candidates must also be adept in providing quality assurance checkpoints related to tiered development including object design, model design, and Java, JSP and SQL code reviews prior to solution releases. • Self-motivated professional who demonstrates strong technical agility and responsiveness and who is eager to learn and grow within a consulting-like Technology Services organization. • Clear thinking, fact-based and to the point professionals who looks forward to working within a creative team atmosphere.
