We are looking for a Digital Advertising Strategist to lead strategy for our digital advertising clients.
Wheelhouse DMG is headquartered in Seattle, but the right candidate can live anywhere in the U.S.
Who You Are
You’re experienced in Digital Advertising and looking to take your impact to the next level. You know the ins and outs of how campaigns run and get excited about helping clients understand how to deploy campaigns in order to impact their bottom line. You’re self-motivated and get a thrill from beating your own past performance. You’re perpetually curious, you’re constantly learning, and asking how to push the envelope. You’re not afraid to fail.
You love to quarterback a team. You’re great at looking at the bigger picture to understand what needs to get done, and how to get there. You lead by example and are confident and capable of executing the strategies you propose.
The Role
- Learns a clients' business as if it's their own. Conducts stakeholder interviews. Clarifies areas of the business that are unclear or nuanced. Understands client's internal priorities.
- Creates bespoke advertising strategy for clients. Outlines initiatives and tasks on a quarterly basis pertaining to the strategy. Creates a roadmap of projects.
- Craft a compelling story for client strategies that convey the value and importance of your recommendations
- Can speak to strategy and cascading tactics at a high (or Executive) level, as well as at a deep, in the weeds (Practitioner) level.
- Speak the language of data and can communicate that as easily with clients as you can our internal data team
- Craft clear agendas for internal and external meetings to ensure every meeting has a clear purpose and outcome.
- Work with PM to plan internal milestones. Have a thorough sense for what needs to be accomplished and can define effective milestones to plan work around.
- Drives QBR or other deck planning and creation for DA or DA-first client engagements, starting with a clear outline and purpose.
- Stays up to date on the latest news and updates in the Digital Advertising space, as well as news and updated within a client's industry, including their competitive landscape.
- Appropriately escalates client or internal team issues relative to their level of risk.
- Connects the dots and pulls in other practices appropriately to solution outside DA.
- Delegates tasks or follow-ups between team members, sets deadlines.
- Surfaces wins internally and to clients.
- Consistently evaluating expansion opportunities
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 years experience including but not limited to Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Linkedin Ads, AdRoll, Criteo, Twitter Ads
- 3 years managing digital advertising budgets
- 3 years of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
- 3 year in a client-facing, customer service, or sales role
- 2 year of Google Analytics (or other web analytics) for reporting, conversion tracking, and attribution
